Final Locations Decisions

Main Character's Home - Springfield House
For our main characters house, we decided to use the largest privately owned house in our local area. We wanted this location to be privately owned because that way, we would have more chance being allowed to film there. This house was good because it had an extravagant exterior look, as well as a large driveway and front garden. The driveway was perfect, as it allowed us to park the luxury car in front for our establishing shot. It also has several smaller houses to the side. The residents of these houses had their cars parked outside. We took advantage of this - as they too were luxury cars - and included them into our shot to make it look as if our character had copious amounts of cars. This is perfect for our film genre and idea because it connotes extreme wealth and sophistication, of which our character is known for.

Construction Site
We also show our character visiting a construction project on which his company is leading. For this, we used the construction site in Chelmsford town centre. This is because it had a walkway in which our actor could walk on without trespassing or endangering himself, or ourselves. Secondly it has an extraordinary viewpoint through a gate of the entire site. We used this in our piece, as we show our character onlooking the site through the gate.

Office
For the scene after he visits his construction site, we see our character entering his office at the headquarters of the company. For this we will use our headteachers office. This is because it is a singular office, showing power and dominance compared to the rest of his employees, who share an office.
