Mainstream
Me and my group have decided to be a mainstream institution. Their are multiple reasons why we chose mainstream over independent as I will show below.
Firstly we chose to be mainstream as the film we are making seems to have a broad target market that would appeal to a large range of individuals on a global scale.
Secondly we concluded Gerard Butler would be the perfect actor for the main role in our black comedy, this is due to are main character having traits of a split personality's appearing formal as a businessman and savage as a drug distributer, these are traits Butler proved excelling at through the juxtaposing films such as "The Ugly Truth" and "300".

His appearance also suits the characteristics of are protagonist, as a macho physically dominant man.
Thirdly it would allow me and my group to focus on more complex editing techniques that aren't used by niche institutions, which would enhance the films quality as satisfying the viewers taste for amazing techniques (gratifications theory)
Fourthly me and my group know allot more about mainstream media then niche, we therefore have chosen to be a mainstream institution as we wish to display our skills and knowledge to the best.
